Do you know who your State Representative or Senator is?  Do you understand the difference between Federal and State legislation and who represents your voice?

This is a perfect opportunity for you to understand the impact you can have on your child or adult’s funding source.  Many of us do not realize that the state budget impacts the amount of money that programs and the Dept. of Developmental Services receives to provide services to your loved ones.

This is an opportunity to learn how bills are passed, have an effective relationship with your legislators and how ONE PERSON’S PHONE CALL CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

YOU may be that person!

An updated list of legislators and senators will be available with their phone numbers, emails and other pertinent information for you to be successful in introducing yourself as a constituent and navigating the State House maze.

This is an opportunity to learn how bills are passed, have an effective relationship with your legislators and learn how ONE PERSON’S PHONE CALL CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.  YOU may be that person!

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, FREE

In the near future, the South Valley area will be having a Legislative Breakfast to support people with disabilities. Parents will be encouraged to attend!  A relationship with your legislator is important to maintain the funding needed in adequately supporting your loved ones.
