the Center of Hope, please contact the Personnel Office at

We are always looking for help with our Special Olympic programs and the
numerous fundraising events that we hold throughout the year as well as
people to assist in our programs.
If interested, please complete the
Volunteer
Application and submit to the Personnel Director.
Standards for Volunteers
Volunteers who desire to volunteer
for SWCARC, Inc. day programs will apply for positions by completing
a volunteer application. Volunteerism at SWCARC, Inc. programs
is typically eligible for credit as Community Service Hours.
Applications received will be
reviewed by the Program Administrator or Director of Programs.
All volunteers 18 or above must
complete a CORI check, and be eligible for assignment to agency
programs.
Volunteers may be interviewed for
volunteer positions.
Volunteers for agency day programs
will complete a 2 hour orientation with the training department
before starting in their programs. Camp volunteers will receive a
full day orientation.
Volunteers will comply with the
agency’s policies and procedures reviewed during orientation
especially with regard to confidentiality, safety, and Human Rights
of the participants.
Volunteers will work under the direct
supervision of Program Administrator or volunteer co-coordinator of
the programs or events they are assigned to.
Volunteers will support the mission
and philosophy of the agency.
Volunteers will be on time and call
their volunteer site /program if they can not attend.
Volunteers will serve in a
professional manner.
Volunteers serve as at-will in nature and may be terminated with or with out cause at any time, by themselves or the agency.
