Job Coach

The Center of Hope Foundation, Inc., a non-profit serving adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a qualified job coach to join its Vocational Team.

Reports to: Director of Employment Services and Plant Director


Job Summary:
Job Coaches are responsible for teaching comprehensive work skills in a variety of settings to Program Members served in the Agency’s Employment Services program. The Agency supports adults with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities through contracted Work programs. Job coaches are considered working supervisors and are meant to foster independence at program sites by modeling, verbal instruction and cueing, based upon a Program Member’s specific needs. These models of teaching encompass social skills as well as task specific skills. As part of the Maintenance team, this position will directly supervise program members on work sites related to maintenance projects.

Environment:
This is a full-time position. The job requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, as well as the ability to assist in physical interventions when necessary. Maintenance sites include working with hazardous materials, on sites that are under construction and that require the use of safety wear.


Minimum Qualifications
-High School Graduate or GED preferred
-Related Work/Personal History teaching skills or working with persons with disabilities preferred
-Driver’s license required; Ability to obtain and renew a DOT card preferred
-To meet all required background checks and drug testing upon hire and annually, as required by Regulatory Authorities.

Direct Deposit is also required.

Job Type: Full-time
Starting Rate: $14.50 per hour with a $0.50 bonus after 90 days.
